We have received information regarding publication of participants' papers in the LNCS volume and the contest workshop during the ICPR conference. We have updated the important dates section on the website of the contest ( accordingly.

Each participant of the challenge is encouraged to submit a paper describing his approach and obtained results. The papers will be published in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science. The papers should be up to 10 pages and use the LNCS format. More information for LNCS authors can be found at:
Each submitted manuscript must be accompanied by a signed copyright form (available on the aforementioned website). Additional information concerning the LNCS postproceedings are described here: (at the bottom). Please send the manuscripts to: [email protected]

Moreover, oral and poster session for the [email protected]'10 challenge will be organized prior to the ICPR conference on the 22nd of August (Sunday). We cordially invite you to this event! Please be advised that the fees for the LNCS volume are paid with the money of the contest workshop fees. Therefore, in order to assure that the submitted paper is included in the LNCS volume, at least one of the authors should be registered to the ICPR contests ( by paying full registration fee (not student fee) by the 8th of June.

Below, I would like to mention the most important upcoming deadlines:
25.05.2010 - Deadline for the papers about approaches for LNCS volume.
31.05.2010 - Acceptance notification for the LNCS papers.
10.06.2010 - Submission of final version of the LNCS papers.
22.08.2010 - Oral and poster sessions for the participants prior to the ICPR 2010 conference.
23.8. - 26.8.2010 - ICPR 2010 conference
